Frequently Asked Questions

If you have any additional questions not answered here, do not hesitate to call us. Our team is always here to assist you and provide you with the answers and help you need. We also invite you to come visit our La Habra, CA office today.

  1. Are dental x-rays always required and are they considered to be safe? Can I tell you what is wrong and then receive a price based on my description?

We do not provide care to patients without an x-ray and this is for good reason. If a dentist does not take an x-ray, they are flying solo. It is dangerous and should not be practiced. There are some serious conditions that may lie dormant and this is what an x-ray will uncover. X-rays do not take as much time and energy as they used to, so if you are worried about time, you do not have to be. Dental x-rays pose little risk. We are unable to provide you a price based on your description of the problem only because we need to identify the EXACT problem. Some conditions can mask themselves.

  1. How do you know if I am a good candidate for dental implants?
  • If you have loose teeth
  • If you have one or more teeth missing
  • If you are a non-smoker
  • If you have loose dentures
  • If you have problems chewing
  • If you have a dental bridge that has food trapped underneath it a lot

It is important that you schedule an appointment with Dr. Cho to discuss your needs and to receive a complete dental implant consultation.

  1. To have my teeth extracted and implants inserted, how many surgical procedures do I need?

In most cases, you will only need to have one appointment to have your teeth extracted. Should you choose immediate dental implants, they will be placed at the same appointment, otherwise, you would need to return to our office to have them placed later on.

  1. Why do I need to choose a dentist who specializes in dental implants?

It is important that you choose an implant dentist who does have experience because it is too easy for the implants to be placed incorrectly and fail. Dental implants specialists will undergo an additional three to four years of dental training to ensure that they understand the implants completely. You will find that an implant dentist is more thorough and is able to provide you with better care than a dentist who is not specifically trained in implants.

If you would like to speak with Dr. Cho about dental implants, call us today to schedule an appointment in our La Habra office. At Sr. Kenneth Cho Dentistry, we are here for you and will provide you with the best care and services.
